Our Mission

The mission of this website is “To aid our understanding and interest in the biology, behavior, ecology, and the conservation issues impacting the river otter in Florida, particularly south Florida, and to help educate ourselves, our children, and others about otters worldwide.”

To achieve this Mission we need your support. Please consider becoming a benefactor. On the home page of this website there is a DONATE icon. Should you open this icon you will see a link entitled Where You Money Goes. Once in this link you will see all donations go to the Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation, Inc. The Foundation is the fiscal agent for donations and there are no costs associated with this financial management. For you, this means 100% of your donation goes toward expenses for river otter research and education program activities in south west Florida. Should you wish to make donation to the Foundation please indicate your donation is placed in the “The Otter Fund”. And, your donation is tax deductible!
